Fees and Payments

Standard 50 minute Consultation   

Clinical Psychologist:                                                               $250 
General Psychologist:                                                               $210
Senior Provisional Psychologist:                                                               $120

* Initial appointments are required to be pre-paid at time of booking.                             Ongoing appointments, may need to be pre-paid or paid in full on the day of appointment as advised.

 

* After hours charge                                                                                                                                 A charge of $20 is added to appointments starting before 9am or from 5pm onwards.

Please note however that psychologists may add the ‘after hours’ charge to appointments they offer that are outside of the hours that they normally work (e.g. if offered an appointment at 4pm and the psychologist doesn’t normally work at that time).   This is at the discretion of each psychologist as a subcontractor of GPG and would need to be discussed with the psychologist applying the charge directly.

 

WorkCover & TAC participants will be charged as per rates listed above                            clients will be required to pay a GAP fee

NDIS participants (self-managed or plan managed) will be charged as per rates listed above, capped at NDIS maximum price guide

$156.16 for Counsellors       

*No gap fees apply to NDIS

Medicare Rebates:

If your GP has completed a Mental Health Plan and provided you with a referral you may be eligible to claim a rebate from Medicare.  The rebate amounts are set my Medicare and subject to change. 

 

General Psychologist:     $96.65

Clinical Psychologist:      $141.85

Medicare rebates can only be processed by our office if we have received a valid GP referral and where your GP has completed and billed Medicare for completion of a Mental Health Care Plan or Review.   Please note: Medicare rebates are capped at 10 per calendar year.

For Private Heath Insurance claims, a receipt will be issued to you so you are able to claim directly with your fund as applicable.

*Please note that clients claiming a Medicare rebate under the Mental Health plan may not claim any additional refund through their Private Health insurance for the same appointment.

Cancellation Fees

Less than 48 hours cancellation fee: 60% of your clinician’s consultation fee will be charged if less than 48 hours notice is provided
Less than 24 hours cancellation fee: Full fee applies for less than 24 hours notice
No Show: Full fee applies if you do not attend your appointment without any notice.
Any future appointments will be cancelled until payment for the missed appointment is made.
Please note medicare rebates do not apply to cancellation fees.

As technical issues can occur, it is important that client’s keep track of appointments booked and do not solely rely on email reminders that are sent as a courtesy.
